I have been obsessed with developing a wide harmonic vocabulary on Guitar for over twenty years now. I was introduced to the concept by the amazing book Chord Chemistry by Ted Greene, and was fortunate to study with him, off and on over the last twenty years. There is very little I can add to what Ted has to offer, but I can offer my collection of extremly painful, but useable, guitar chords. I will state here that all of the chords presented are playable, but some require some preparation to get to. Please remember that you can hurt your hands using these, but in general they are all quite beautiful voicings. I believe that the guitar is taught from a geometric perspective as that is the inherent nature of a transposing instrument, but here I am choosing notes and chord voicings that are based on sound, not geography. Some can be moved and others cannot.
